The 2012 All-Time Greats of Oregon Big Game featured many of Oregon’s greatest big game animals ever taken, including pronghorn from Harney County in 2000, whitetail deer from Wallowa county in 1982 , Rocky Mt. Elk from Crook County in 1942 and mule deer from Wallowa county in 1937. More recent harvests include the archery state record mule deer taken in Grant County in 2009, the largest Columbia Blacktail deer taken in Oregon in over 20 years and a 170” buck taken by Jim Linton in Douglas County.

The 2012 Tour of the Northwest’s Big Game Animals featured the new World Record Bison, mounted life-size. This enormous bull was taken in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 2010. Also included was a 400-pound life-size mount of charging black bear taken in a near-death experience while bow hunting in eastern Oregon during the 2010 elk season; a life-size mount of one of Oregon’s largest (202 pounds) mountain lion even taken in Umatilla County, Oregon; and a full display featuring giant mule deer, blacktail deer and elk.

Nationally recognized wildlife artist, Dave Bartholet began his art career in 1971 painting wildlife in watercolors and scratchboard. Dave’s work has been published in over 500 limited edition prints. He has participated in close to 800 shows and it is estimated that he has nearly 200,00 collectors worldwide. He has illustrated several books, more than 2 dozen magazine and journal covers, been featured in numerous magazines and has garnered 30-plus national awards.
